Our services are available to those who qualify for MaineCare Benefits Waiver programs Section 20, 21 and 29, as well as to self-paying individuals who demonstrate financial capability.
We prioritize accommodating residents requiring urgent placement, ensuring their immediate needs are met. At QCA, residents' needs always come first.

Our intake process is designed to feel calm, clear, and collaborative — moving at the resident's pace while keeping families and case managers informed every step of the way.
When a vendor call comes in, our team promptly assesses whether QCA's services align with the resident's needs.
We arrange a meeting with QCA's team, the Case Manager, and the individual and/or guardians, and warmly invite the resident to visit the house.
Once a decision is made together, we begin the moving-in process with care and attention to every detail.
At admission, copies of the resident's physician's orders for medications are required so we can support them safely from day one.
While we don't maintain waiting lists, it may take up to fourteen days to secure the right staff team for a new resident. We use that time to prepare carefully — building familiarity, finalizing supports, and ensuring the first day feels safe and welcoming.
When circumstances are urgent, we prioritize those placements and collaborate closely with the individual, their guardians, and their case manager to move as swiftly as care allows.
